Covering an area of over 100 square miles, Hurricane Katrina was so severe and so large that it posed challenges for us that we’d not encountered before. Roads were blocked or lost completely; there was limited power and water; there were very few hotel accommodations available within hundreds of miles of the damaged equipment.

T&ES set up headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, and coordinated a triage in various areas to quickly clean and remediate as much heavy equipment as we could. This allowed us to guide a considerable amount of contractors through their insurance claims quickly so they could begin working again.

For many of those contractors, they were able to assist in the hurricane cleanup—a job that brought many of the much-needed joy as well as work. We were also instrumental in soliciting top-dollar salvage bids and garnered the reputation of having the fastest repair and settlement time in the south.
